A MTV americana anunciou na noite desta quinta-feira (21) os artistas indicados ao Video Music Awards 2011, a maior premiação dedicada ao videoclipe, que acontece dia 28 de agosto, em Los Angeles.
Os grandes premiados de 2011 serão conhecidos no dia 28 de agosto, no show mega especial preparado pela MTV americana.

A festa acontece em Los Angeles e terá transmissão ao vivo e completíssima da MTV Brasil.Os artistas mais indicados são as cantoras Katy Perry, em nove categorias, e Adele, com sete, e o rapper Kanye West, com oito indicações. O vídeo que concorre sozinho a mais prêmios é o da cantora Adele, a música ‘Rolling in the Deep’ disputa em sete categorias, entre elas clipe do ano, clipe feminino e melhor clipe pop.

O rapper Kanye West é o mais indicado do ano, concorrendo a 11 prêmios, frutos de duas parcerias, na música ‘E.T.’ com Katy Perry e ‘All Of The Lights’, com Rihanna e Kid Cudi, esta indicada a cinco categorias, entre elas Melhor Colaboração.Curiosiamente, Kanye concorre com si mesmo em Colaboração, pois o clipe ‘E.T.’ em parceria com a cantora Katy Perry também está indicado. ‘E.T.’ ainda concorre em outros quatro prêmios. Perry ainda concorre com outros três clipes, ‘Firework’, ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)’ e ‘Teenage Dream’, em mais quatro categorias.Entre os nomes que concorrem ao prêmio de Clipe do Ano, estão o membro do grupo Odd Future, o polêmico Tyler, the Creator, com ‘Yonkers’; o clipe de 29 minutos dos Beastie Boys, da música ‘Make Some Noise’ e o sucesso ‘Granade’, de Bruno Mars, havaiano vencedor de outro importante prêmio da música, o Grammy Awards.Se em 2010 a cantora Lady gaga foi indicada a 13 categorias levou 8 prêmios pra casa, este ano ela tem apenas três indicações.
